I think everyone did thorough unessays/essays and I really enjoyed the class content as a whole for the first project. My favorite of the projects, however, was Kayla’s “hypothetical” production of Death and the King’s Horsemen. I don’t know the first thing about play productions but it is evident that she put a lot of effort into her project and put effort into educating her audience, especially if they were unfamiliar with the content. Kayla even hand drew some of the designs for the props that would be used in the play using references for traditional Yoruban garb and I thought that was very creative. I like how she was able to combine two different areas of study into one project: Global Lit and Theatre. I also learned a number of things from her post like what a thrust theatre is or the thoughts that go into creating a prop list.
