After Jihei revealed his situation with Koharu, his wif O-San had a very interesting reaction:

“A wife should do everything in her power for her husband.”
She decides to help Jihei after all he has done. What can our classroom from 2022 take from this? (Lessons, emotions, etc.) was she right or wrong? Also in just about every book we have read this semester, most of the women have been very limited in alternate routes out of danger due to their gender within that time and society. But here she seems to heavily base her decision on the children (before being dragged away by a corrupt father who only seems to favor reputation.)
Bonus question: is O-Sans father only doing this for the sake to save his reputation?
